Five prostitutes arrested

Police have arrested 5 prostitutes. These include 4 Srilankans and a Maldivian.

Maldives Police Service gave no details except saying that 5 prostitutes were arrested the previous night at 9:30 from H. Night View (Soasun Magu) and 4 of them were foreigners.

Jazeera have known that the arrested were 2 Srilankan women, 2 Srilankan male and a Maldivian male.

A lot of people were gathered near the house which rents rooms for daily rent when these 5 people were brought out.

According to an eyewitness, two foreign males were first taken out from the 4th floor and a the Maldivian male was followed the these 2 foreigners. The foreign females were taken after that.

When these people were brought downstairs, the gatherers shouted in joy and clapped their hands. Some people even chanted the resignation of President Maumoon.

5 prostitutes were arrested last July 13th from Moaraa guest house.
